Storeton, Wirral
Storeton sits in the heart of the Wirral peninsula — a place of old woodland, rich agricultural land, and deep local history. It's here that our herd of Belted Galloways have been raised, grazing on natural pasture through every season.
The farm is a direct extension of what we do at the butchery. It's not a separate enterprise — it's where our story begins. The cattle you see on our pastures are the same cattle that become the beef at our counter.
We know exactly how every animal is raised, what it ate, and how it was handled — because we're there throughout. That level of traceability isn't something we can achieve any other way.

Why Belted Galloways?
A Distinctive Breed
Belted Galloways — 'Belties' to those who know them — are one of Scotland's oldest native cattle breeds. Instantly recognisable by their striking white belt around the middle of their dark body, they are as beautiful as they are hardy.
Built for British Pastures
Their thick double coat means they thrive outdoors year-round on natural pasture, without the need for housing or supplementary feed. They do what cattle should do: graze and grow slowly, building depth of flavour as they go.
Exceptional Meat Quality
The slow growth rate of Belted Galloways produces beef with outstanding marbling and a depth of flavour that you simply cannot replicate in fast-grown commercial breeds. Each animal is a genuine product of the land.
High Welfare, Low Input
Belties are calm, intelligent cattle. They require minimal intervention and thrive with good stockmanship and quality grass. That's exactly how we manage our herd — working with the animal's nature, not against it.

From Pasture to Your Plate
Our Belted Galloways are collected directly from the farm and processed at our local abattoir before being dry-aged in our New Ferry butchery. No middlemen. No anonymised supply chains. Just exceptional beef with a story you can trace all the way back to the field.
